Thank you Barbara & Joe for the above quotes from the 'Shepherd The Flock' book. It does seem like the JW leadership is leaning in the direction of relaxing its harsh shunning policies toward df'd relatives. It will be interesting to see if any, what further changes there are in the May 2023 elders' manual on this subject.

I went to the Kingdom Hall today to listen to the Special Talk...something along the line of "Looking To The Future With Confidence". There was nada, zilch, nothing special about the talk. There was this repetitive mention of that 13th century invention of the word/name Jehovah...Jehovah...Jehovah! Nothing, no mention about our Lord & Savior the Messiah, the Christ, the Son of God, the Sacrificial Lamb...Jesus...not a word! I asked the visiting speaker: "Why no mention of Jesus in your talk?" His reply: "It wasn't in the outline!"
Yet, Jesus himself said @ John 17:3: "This means everlasting life their coming to know you the only true God and the one you sent forth...the Christ, Jesus."
According to the above quote from Jesus, himself, you'd think he'd get at least 50% mention in this talk...but seriously nothing! Aren't we in the memorial season of Jesus' sacrifice...what the hell?

Excuse Me!...Excuse Me! Back to the topic of this thread regarding Tony Morris' deletion as GB member.
Day after tomorrow is Monday April the Turd (get it 😂)! Anyway...March's JW Broadcast said zilch, nada about Tony's removal...will the GB remain silent or will they address the elephant 🐘 in the room? What da ya think...any ideas or guesses?

I might add that Tony has in the past & is still a liability to this organization. I would venture to say that since his deletion as GB member, many of the Wednesday Governing Body weekly meetings have been about "What do we do with Tony's 12 or 13 Broadcasting Videos that remain on the website...do we delete/remove them or not?"
The jury is still out on this one! 😂

Some thoughts on the message of doom
by JeffT inone of the recent threads on the talk about the hailstone message got me to thinking.
the problem with putting out a message like that is what to do when nothing happens.
i have to think that somebody will be asking that question.

Ephesians 6:4: "And you, fathers, do not be irritating your children, but go on bringing them up in the discipline and mental-regulating of Jehovah."
In their newer 2013 version of their Bible the harsh term 'mental regulating' has been removed and replaced with the softer, loving wording 'admonition'. But way too late...damage is already done to the poor JW youth!
